Event: Designing a Life in Motion - March 7 by Paul Abadilla

I’ll be speaking at the Santa Clara City Library next week, March 7 from 7pm-8:30pm. If you care to hear about my story and what it’s like to work in film and animation at a place like Pixar Animation Studios , come join us! Free and open to all ages!

Mad love and thanks to my good friend and the unofficial mayor of the South Bay @dandiggity for organizing such a fun event for the community I grew up in.

Society of Illustrators Los Angeles 57 Winners by Paul Abadilla

I’m very thrilled and honored to announce that I have two pieces that were selected for the Society of Illustrators Los Angeles 57 exhibit.

One was a concert poster I designed and illustrated for the Invisibl Skratch Piklz, and the other one was an unpublished project for J. Cole’s “Kevin’s Heart” music video for Dreamville Records.

Thank you so much SI-LA for the great honor!

NEW: Online Shop Grand Opening! by Paul Abadilla

Happy Holidays!

I’m very excited to announce the grand opening of my ONLINE SHOP! This will be your main source of any official artwork (originals and reproductions) I put up for sale.

At the moment, I am offering two Artist Proof concert posters, and a variety of limited edition pieces. I’m also only open to USA Domestic orders at this time.

Posters are digital prints on matte card stock. Giclee prints are gallery quality and archival, and are sourced from a top-of-the-line Epson SureColor P series large-format printer, on Moab Entrada Bright fine art paper. Lastly, one of the prints are hand-pulled, from a Vandercook No. 4 letterpress, printed on an elegant BFK Rives printmaking paper.

To kick things off, please enjoy 10% OFF on your order by using the code, “SHOPSMALL2018” along with standard FREE SHIPPING!

Thank you for your support!

"Living Room" by Paul Abadilla

J Dilla's music has permeated my life's soundtrack since I started listening to The Pharcyde in the 90s, and even more so when Slum Village came to prominence during my formative years in college during the early 2000s. Here is a recent illustration in tribute to him, zoning-in, in his living room studio.

The original artwork is a collage of cut paper and acrylic paint on hot press board.

Cover Art: UFO by Oteb N Solrac by Paul Abadilla

This past month, I had the opportunity to illustrate/design the cover art for rising DJ/Producer duo (twins) OtebNSolrac's forthcoming single, UFO - featuring Bay Area rap icon, Mistah F.A.B., alongside Milla, and Devon Blair.

I was captivated by the song from my first listen, and knew I had to jump on. The song is fun, hyped, and definitely in-tune with the bouncy sound of Bay Area #slaps, yet unique to the Twins' fusion of Hip-Hop and Electronica sounds.

UFO is due to release February 9 on all digital platforms (iTunes, Spotify, etc.).
