Paul Abadilla is an artist living and working in the San Francisco Bay Area.

He currently works at Pixar Animation Studios as a Sets Art Director. He has contributed in the making of several feature films, including Cars 3 (2017), Finding Dory (2016), Monsters University (2013) and Academy Award©-winning film Brave (2012). Additionally, Paul has worked on short films The Blue Umbrella (2013), Pixar’s first television special Toy Story of Terror! (2013), Lava (2015) and Sanjay’s Super Team (2015). Most recently, Paul was a designer for the Academy Award©-winning film Coco (2017) and Pixar’s latest release Incredibles 2 (2018).

Additionally, Paul has contributed in the making of independent projects, such as Academy Award©-nominees for Best Animated Short Film The Dam Keeper (Tonko House, 2015), and Borrowed Time (Quorum Films, 2017). He has given talks locally and internationally, and was recently a featured speaker at SXSW. He has also lead workshops at The Animation Collaborative, and his alma mater, San Jose State University.

Aside from creating art, Paul loves to surf, cook, and skratch on the turntables.
